And here it is, the time of the year most beauty bloggers, jewels enthusiasts and fashionistas look forward to: Pantone’s Color of the Year or colors in this case to define our make-up arsenals and closets for the year ahead. And to kick of 2016 in kindered spirits, introducing Rose Quartz and Serenity representing a blurred line of order and peace.
In light of how scary and hateful this world can be, which lets face is, it’s a lot more than any of us are happy about – this is exactly what we need. Colors. The PR girl in me is totally doing a slow clap for you Pantone, for making yourself politically relevant. And for all you mama bears out there: Congrats. It’s the year of Gender Equality. As for us
very single girls, this is just splendid reminder of our ticking clocks #jk #goalsbro.
No but really, as much as I like the message of finding calm through the chaos and social progress, I just can’t wrap my head around the colors. Something about all of this that I just don’t like and don’t want to have blended pastel colors splashed around my home to remind me of Easter year round. But I guess I wouldn’t totally hate a peice or two in my closet finding some InStyle inspiration:
At the very least, maybe this is a good indication of the year of options?
