I can’t believe it was only like last weekend that I was at Coachella-ella-ella. And yes, I really wanted Rihanna to be Drake’s surprise guest and say that out loud, but alas that didn’t really happen. However, so many more great, wonderful, surprising other things happened. As your Happiness Brand Ambassador, Coachella is 1000% fully approved. A must-do at least once in your life, believe me.
There is no other place in the world where you can watch 50 performances in one weekend. You don’t even have to know any of them because for that moment you find a fond appreciation of music, where you feel, live and breathe the beat of the song.
You also don’t even need a plan, you just need a partner. And for me, that was my younger sister. We made a list of artists we wanted to see before we went, then we just danced and sang our way through our very first Coachella. And that’s it. You don’t need to plan further than that, everything else will just kind of fall into place. Even the hunt for breakfast tacos and binge eating Munchies and Twizzlers every night will become part of your Coachella experience.
One piece of advice, download the app before you go. No matter the poor ratings it has. It’s a must and once you touch Palm Springs the internet will not be sufficient. Read: CRAP. Even though my older sister, who paid for the tickets and roundtrip flight, told us to do it – did we listen? Of course not. What does she know? Noob. Well take it from this noob, do it.
Enjoy wherever the musical wind takes you at Coachella and beyond,
