I just recently got healthcare insurance. Which I know is shocker considering I had dental way long before. Clearly, this is a huge indicator of what I consider my priority (duh, my pearly whites). Not to mention, the amounts of chocolate I eat my teeth will suffer before my body. But you need healthcare coverage for the just in case moments because it’s like an invisible shield that has your back and protects you from the unforeseen.
And that’s exactly what PR is.
You keep your PR team, at times with the hefty price tag, through the bad coverage and the great campaigns from crisis support to when nothing is going on for the just in case moments and for the ‘what ifs.’ So next time you are considering if PR is worth it, just remember that when the stone chips your windshield you’re always really glad you were covered. Ya, that happened too.
You never want to pay for it. . . but your damn glad you have it when you need it.
