It’s officially the Year of the Horse. And here we are again, me yapping on about astrology and horoscopes and you kindly listening.
Outside of the daily love and work forecasts, astrology can make for some very chic fashion inspiration. You say it’s Year of the Horse, I say think jockeys, cowgirls, and the next and new in equine dressing. Design houses such as the fancy Hermès, Longchamp and our beloved Ralph Lauren are known for their consistent reinterpretations of horse-love gear. Michael Kors is never too far from a four-hooved nod and neither is Tommy Hilfiger, and the same could be said of Chloe’s Spring 2010 season #tbt #eventhoughitsnotthursday. It’s just that for a style so iconic, equestrian never seems to register as “cool.”
How many times have you seen a girl wearing the cutest horse-inspired outfit and been like, “So what, is she going horseback riding or something? Does she own like a ranch?” Girls are mean.
Well who has the last laugh now? Not you mean girls. Giddy up lads because designers from all over have been inspired by their inner Black Stallions.
So maybe the Year of the Horse didn’t work too well for the Denver Broncos, but lets hope its better for us, fashionistas.
Here’s to Horsing-around,
