Couple months back I was introduced to the humorous world of @KellyOxford, which basically changed my life forever. Every time I am having a bad day or if I need someone to be funnier than me, well hello Kelly. Naturally, I picked up her book and now have forever abandoned the idea of those book series which total to be 1 million pages, because after reading this I have learned that books can end #seeyaTwilight #GameofThronesNeverHadaChance
First time I heard of this book I figured maybe later and then I saw this bad boy on the shelves of Urban Outfitters and it was a sign (everything at UO is a sign… to purchase). So starts the journey of my constantly wondering: “Oh my god, won’t her kids be reading this one day? They should be banned from reading her book” and more importantly and potential spoiler alert, maybe, but it would be rude if you stopped reading mid sentence, so please proceed “Wait, is this real like did she REALLY meet David Copperfield, talk to a half brain guy, live in a car and go for a hunt for lil babez Leo DiCaprio?” but then again, after all, maybe everything is perfect when you’re a liar.
It wasn’t a book I couldn’t put down, because I did for a full month. But when I picked it back up, it was like nothing has changed. Like an old friend playing catch up. Or like one of those days when you flip on the television and then “I-can’t-turn-the-channel-because-I-can-not-stop-watching-this” happens no matter how ridiculous the show is… that’s the perfect way to describe this book. When you read it, you are reading it with the ability to not stop. When you stop, there is no climax that makes you want to go back to it. But you do.
For the fact that this book made me LOL during the worst times that made me look cray and because a girl can appreciate good humor, especially when talking about Disneyland, the official BATP rank is:
Happy reading,
