Oh the things that can happen in a year.
The Olympics. KStew cheats on RPatz (and no one knows if they’re on or off still) and she Calls Him Maybe/most certainly. Everyone kept calm and carried on… esp after the news about Anderson Cooper and cupcake ATMs. The existence of Boo was discovered – if you don’t know Boo/ don’t think he is the cutest thing to happen this year, I don’t know you (not to be confused with Honey Boo Boo). We all learned that wet koalas look
like scary creatures that come in your nightmares the complete opposite of dry koalas (or maybe that was just me and its fine time I showed you: see here.) A presidential election and the last of the troops returned home this year from Iraq. Fifty shades, some guy high wired across the Niagara Falls and an apocalypse (or lack of therefore… I wonder what people are doing in their Disaster Ready Homes now). Space shuttles in NY and landing a car on Mars (ca mon, don’t you keep up with space?) Gangnam style happened and 100 years ago Titanic happened. Furby returned and a Royal Baby was made. “Millennial” become THE buzzword for everyone except actual Millennials. Caine’s Arcade which I have yet to go visit. Oh ya and Angelina’s Leg. #YOLO.
And through all of this Beauty & the Pitch becomes one today!! A blog that started as a fun way to record my internship and NY adventures to a blog about PR as life.birth of Beauty and the Pitch. Giants won the Superbowl and I fell in love (after the Texans, duh!). No longer an intern and NY is officially home. My first bday in the great NYC! My first day as a PR Girl (seriously, can’t believe I was this scared! Tots normal, si?) My first apartment in New York. The moment I realized I love media relations. The first PR Chat of the many more to come. First Natural Disaster in NY and the 2012 presidential elections. First blogger award, yippee!! And a new year with new goals and memories to look forward too!
Thank you to everyone who followed me throughout the year, experiencing many firsts with me, and (hopefully) will continue to do so for years to come! Love all the support, comments, emails, and Xs & Os I’ve got in the year and hope to keep getting as I grow as a professional, an individual and, of course, a blogger. Thank you to my fam, friends and colleagues who supported my desire to be a PR Girl, a blogger, a New Yawker, someone whose witty and completely awesome (LAWLZ?!) Here here to the year to come! X&O&X.
