Fa La La La La La La La La! The holidays are a great time to play catch with family and friends and that’s exactly what I did rekindling with my fave West Coast PR Girl.
What is the best thing to do in the east/ west during the holidays?
East: My favorite thing to do in New York during the holidays is ice skating in Bryant Park…or walking around fifth ave and looking at all the pretty lights with a Starbucks’ peppermint mocha… or a trip to Central Park’s holiday market… or a visit to the Rockefeller Christmas tree…or… Well ok, there is no one favorite thing but a lot of favorite things as long as I am warm!!
West: Here’s my itinerary for a perfect December day in San Francisco – bundle up and grab a friend, in my case my sister, and head to Union Square for some shopping. All the decorations and holiday cheer makes me feel so happy. Refuel with some lunch and a latte, then go ice skating (if I’m feeling brave). I also love to see the Christmas tree and the 3D holiday-themed light show. I can’t think of a better way to spend the holidays than with family and friends!
What is on your PR girl holiday wish list?
East: I would love to win a PR award for a campaign I have worked on. Need to be thinking bigger and better… or just some magic fairy powder dust from Santa all year round!
West: Get back in the groove with photography. You never know when a journalist urgently needs a photo of your client’s specific dish. Added bonus- you might even get a photo credit in the article!
As we say good bye to one year and look forward to another, what is the best thing you thing learned in 2012?
East: I learned to stay true to myself and share my personality with others and in my work. Never lose sight of yourself even when the big, fat mean city wants to eat you alive. Oh and that also means to never stop saying Y’ALL, y’all!
West: I learned to never give up. I landed my dream job and I couldn’t be happier, but if I lost faith in myself, it would never have happened. Perseverance pays off, people.
Happy Holidays from both of us!
