Keeping my mind always on PR is exactly what I did while watching the Red Carpet:
*The Dictator, Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed the part and played the role at the unfortunate expense of Ryan Seacrest and his Burberry suit by “spilling” dirt all over him. That’s just Oscar-illegal but twitter-explosive. Might not the best time to promote your movie, dude. #defnotwatchingTheDictator
*The lack of her criticism, J-Lo did not show up with her “mid-life crisis” boyfriend Casper. I only wonder if her publicist just said, no. Not this time dear. Save yourself. And thankfully so.
*Amara Miller, 11 year old who plays George Clooney’s daughter in The Descendents, told Giuliana Rancic during her interview that she “changed her mind” on how she felt about Clooney as a father. Earlier she stated that he would not be a good father but she takes it back. Ya I’d take it back too, you can’t insult Hollywood God so early into your career but cutting her some slack. She’s 11.
*Not as celebrity focused, Wolf Gang was able to get their chocolate Oscars onto the red carpet and dressed for the occasion with stylish chef suites. Bet their sales will sky rocket tomorrow… Wait their name was Wolf Gang right? Oh. PR fail.
*The obvious work of PR behind every celeb who was prepped by some brilliant PR guy for the tricky questions on the red carpet and every stylist that was able to get a celeb to wear a certain designer’s outfit and jewels…My favorite…Hard to pick only one so I won’t but Giuliana Rancic, Sandra Bullock and Octavia Spencer are defintely on the top of my list. How could you even disagree? The worst outfit of the night: Melissa McCarthy. The sleeves. Got. To. Go (and possibly time for a new stylist too!)
*A moment to spot the fashion trends – one shoulders, the off the shoulder sleeve and the rusty copper tones. Must adds to my fashion closet. Not gonna lie, I was expecting more pastels!
Happy Oscars Watching!
